This past weekend I had the opportunity to volunteer with UK sport and their "Find Your Greatness" campaign, which was aiming to identify future Team GB athletes from across the nation. 16-24 year old's underwent a variety of physical performance tests at regional testing days.
Exposure to multiple testing stations allowed me to experience elements of performance testing; an area that was traditionally not very well covered in the physiotherapy undergrad circular. As well as meeting and engaging with coaches from various disciplines and volunteers from a wide variety of backgrounds.
With a reported 39% of Brits aged between 18-24 thinking they could make Team GB at the LA 2028 Games. It is safe to say I would be better off sticking to physiotherapy.
