During a physiotherapy assessment we will often ask regarding how new or old your trainers are and what level of support you use.
TIP: Many runners often find it a good idea to keep your shoes just for running and not to wear them when youâre out and about as this also significantly limits the decompression time and reduces the miles they can rack up. Similarly some runners prefer different shoes for different types of running. This can be as simple as terrain dependent or even speed versus endurance running sessions.
Essentially, consider giving your shoes a break and utilise multiple pairs.
